The streamer known as Narcissawright has been permanently banned from Twitch. While the reason for this remains unclear, many are speculating that it could be related to their previous activity on the platform. Narcissawright has been banned several times. Notably, the streamer was suspended for threatening to “kill myself and shoot people at Twitch headquarters”.
Narcissawright is known for the fast running of Ocarina of Time. They managed to conquer a world record in 2018. Since then, the streamer has focused on Breath of the Wild.
“Twitch gave me another permanent suspension today,” the content creator announced on Twitter. “I think all hoping and screaming answers will be happy. I have filed an appeal.”
Narcissawright was initially banned from Twitch in March for violating its terms of service regarding sexual content. The streamer then took to Twitter and commented, “I want to kill myself and shoot people at Twitch HQ! Hahaha.” Narcissawright went on to describe how “the internet is hell. Real life is hell too. And Twitch makes me want to die!” The content creator later claimed to have expressed frustration with the ban, denied any intention to take such action and expressed remorse for the comments. Twitch lowered the ban to a temporary suspension.
“After reviewing your case, we can confirm that proper enforcement has been carried out,” Twitch told the streamer. “However, given the details of your case, including the remorse expressed in your appeal, we have decided to shorten the length of your suspension. Please keep yourself informed by familiarizing yourself with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. .”
Several content creators, including Mizkif, began expressing their outrage at Twitch’s acceptance of Narcissawright back on the platform. The streamer called the decision “unbelievable”, noting that it was “unfair” for another streamer, Destiny, who still remains banned. “How does Narcissawright get unbanned and how does Destiny not get unbanned? This must be fake,” Mizkif said. “There is no way!” The content creator went on to say that there was “no comparison between what Destiny has ever said in the history of the world to ‘I’m going to shoot down Twitch HQ’.” “I’m sorry, but that’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable that this person threatened to shoot down Twitch’s headquarters and got his ban.” JiDion expressed similar opinions.
