A fan goes one step further than Skyrim players flooding their houses with cheese and creates an open world house made entirely of cheese.
Bethesda Softworks introduced player housing for Skyrim with the Hearthfire expansion, and since then, The Elder Scrolls fans have created their ideal abode in the vast icy landscape. One Skyrim player has decided to create a home in the field seemingly made entirely of cheese.
Reddit user Rac-attack recently shared an image of their home Skyrim† which is typically in an open field on the side of a mountain rather than one of the many ready-made city locations. Skyrim fans who choose to build their own houses, such as Rac-attack, can place these houses in many more areas outside of Riften, Markarth, Whiterun or Windhelm, and they can be expanded by crafting different building materials. The normal wooden Skyrim house is a brighter yellow in Rac-attack’s image, as the player has meticulously placed countless cheese items around the exterior and interior of the building.
Rac attack has been modified Skyrim player housing has multiple pillars of cheese wheels that maintain the structural integrity of the house entrance, and many cheese wheels flow out of the building and onto the ground around the Skyrim player. The interior of the building is almost as cheesy, although some candles rise above some cheese to show off some extra items in the room beyond the glut of dairy. Next to the front door of the house are three potted plants growing cheese slices, one of which represents Eldar Cheese and the other appears to be Goat Cheese.
This Skyrim the player’s house isn’t their only cheap creation in the picture as Rac-attack’s character is also dressed in cheese with a pile of cheese making up most of their bodies and a golden crown on top of their heads. The character of Rac-attack is also equipped with a wooden sword that goes well with the yellow tones, while the cheese plants match the surrounding foliage. Because much of the cheese house is not reproducible without a mod, vanilla Skyrim players will have to settle for less cheese in and around their house or spend a lot more time creating this house than Rac-attack has.
Rac attack is not the first Skyrim to decorate their houses with cheese, while another player recently flooded his Breezehome in Whiterun with cheese. Although Rac-attack’s house appears to be made entirely of cheese, some parts resembling the edible food item do not match the appearance of known cheeses in the game, suggesting that other yellow items may have been used to create the appearance of a house which is made of cheese. Skyrim fans on PC who want to make a similar cheesy house to Rac-attack’s will have to download the Cheesemod to unlock the plethora of cheese customization options.
Skyrim is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
