Bugs are hardly a rarity in gaming these days, especially with the magnitude of many popular titles. Ubisoft’s latest entry from the Far cry franchise, Far Cry 6, is no different. In one of the latest updates, the developer has a Far Cry 6 hotfix for the Xbox version of the game.

Of course, Ubisoft is no stranger to game glitches and the company has been actively pushing Far Cry 6 post-launch bug fixes in October 2021. Ubisoft has also regularly released new content in recent months, helping to maintain the excitement surrounding the latest entry of the popular Far cry series. The February title update included a significant number of updates, including a highly anticipated Rambo mission.

The latest content update is “The Vanishing” mission, a Far Cry 6 crossover with the Netflix hit Weird stuff† After launching on March 24, players encountered a few issues that prevented them from fully playing the mission. One of these issues would be a message telling players to sign up for Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Gold when the crossover mission launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. The April 7 hotfix resolves this issue for Xbox players, according to Ubisoft.

Apart from the Rambo and Weird stuff missions, the developer has also released other notable new content updates such as special operations, weekly rebellions, cosmetic updates, and missions featuring Danny Trejo. In addition, the Far Cry 6 Season Pass has released DLC content for Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed, where fans can play as the iconic villains from previous titles. The Season Pass also includes the original Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon along with a remastered version for current generation consoles.

Ubisoft has its plans for Far Cry 6 beyond the Weird stuff crossing. While the developer will likely ramp up patch fixes for the game, it’s unclear if players can expect more significant content updates. Meanwhile, fans have already begun to speculate what to expect from the next title. Many point out that Ubisoft can switch to a live service format with: Far Cry 7† Anyway, if the current pattern continues, fans may see a spin-off title based on: Far Cry 6 followed within the next few years by Far Cry 7† Although nothing has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft yet.

Far Cry 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
